More About Me...
My name is Mariah Darling, and I am running in the Dec 9th by-election for Ward 3
My name is Mariah Darling, and I'm thrilled to be running for Saint John City Council in Ward 3. I'm a proud queer and trans individual who was born and raised on the west side of Saint John, and graduated from Saint John High (class of 2012).
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from UNBSJ (class of 2018) and have a strong background in medical research. Currently, I serve as the education coordinator for a non-profit organization that supports the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Being analytical, collaborative, and information-based, I am well-suited to tackle critical issues, and join a team that’s already set many priorities and goals.
For the past six years, I have been living in the southern peninsula, and I am honoured to have the opportunity to represent this community where I both live and work. I have witnessed firsthand the challenges facing our community, and I am committed to creating positive change for all residents.
Community is at the core of my values, and I believe it's crucial to building a better future for ward 3, and all of Saint John. I also believe that New Brunswick needs less divisiveness and more unity and collaboration to build a place where every citizen can prosper.
My approach is evidence-based decision-making, problem-solving, and collaboration. As a proud queer and trans individual, I understand the significance of representation and am dedicated to ensuring that all voices are heard and valued in our community.
I am deeply committed to creating a fair and inclusive environment where all residents of Saint John and New Brunswick can thrive. Your support is essential in achieving this, and I thank you for considering me as your city councillor.
Let's work together to bring about positive change, build unity, and make a real difference in our community! Vote Mariah Darling for Ward 3!
